Who would have thought I would be the winner? When I last left you, I shared my experience, my first experience in ordering a share of beef.  I received my 1/4 share on Wednesday, May 21st, 2025.  Halfway through our 1/4 share, I realized that this was not going to last us like I had hoped.  Knowing the amount of meat left and doing some meal planning, I calculated that by August 8th, 2025, I would be out of beef.  You must be thinking, Wow, that’s a lot of beef to go through. 79 days of eating beef 2 to 3 times a day and on the 80th day, my husband and I would be back to eating turkey and chicken.  Don’t get me wrong, I like turkey and chicken, but we were just feeling so good!  My joints were no longer hurting, the occasional leg/toe cramps had stopped and I had stopped taking Tylenol and Ibuprofen.  Then there was this light at the end of this tunnel (this is where the angels sing and my black and white movie is now in technicolor).  I recei...

  My Journey to Ordering a Share of Beef The Catalyst for Change About a year and a half ago, I embarked on a mission to improve my health and took my husband along for the ride.  Knowing that wherever the journey led me and whatever changes I was going to make, they had to be subtle and tasty or he wasn’t going to partake (my husband is the original junk food junkie).  The common joke was how long would the restaurant food last in me after my last bite?  Sometimes 45 minutes, most times 20 minutes, and occasionally 10 minutes.  And there was no discrepancy between a take-out/fast food or sit-down restaurant.  There was also no distinction whether I ate in my hometown, the county I lived in, or another.
